SECOND DEGREE—PRIESTHOOD

The Path of Mastering Knowledge and Wisdom through Teaching Others

A    Mastery of the Skills and Services offered by the 1st Degree Initiate in depth to allow the Teacher to train Adepts. Complete sufficient number of private sessions and services to demonstrate that they have developed their skills, and may teach others to offer the Services of our Mystery School Tradition.

B    Outer Initiation Ceremony

C    Inner Initiation through Study and Ritual / Ceremonial Work

D    Receive Official Handing Down & Training to Teach Mystery School Programs, and Tools and Techniques Seminars. This includes all core Programs.

 

This initiation denotes a person who has mastered the basic skills and work of the Adept. They have demonstrated a maturity and level of responsibility required for the higher Priesthood. Persons who achieve this level will carry the title of Priest or Priestess. During this period, the Priest or Priestess should be concentrating on learning how to teach and lead others! This involves learning to deal with people individually and within a group setting. They will be focusing on sharpening their counseling and teaching skills.

 

Teachers teach programs in the Light Center or Lodge maintained by the Guide they are working with. They are responsible for the Pre-Initiation programs and much of the training of the Initiated Adepts. They are expected to attend rituals, and activities held by the lodge, and as teachers they will learn to write ceremony, and will now learn how to manipulate the energy of ritual to benefit those in circle. They will, toward the later stages, be invited to sit on a Council and begin to take part in the leadership of the Mystery School.

 

Your Next Step: Normal Requirements for 2nd Degree Graduation to 3rd Degree

  1. Teaching First Degree students
  2. Learning to deal with issues within the group
  3. Taking an active part in Ceremonies and rituals
  4. Learning to do rituals for the group when needed
  5. Begin to develop their teaching materials and ceremonies of their own
  6. Taking on a special assignment geared toward benefiting the student as well as the Lodge and the Mystery School as a whole
  7. Toward the latter part of this level… sit on the Council
  8. Toward the latter part of this level… take on students of their own, as approved by the Guides and Lodge Leaders or the Elders

Be a living example of appropriate behavior for all other members

Being a Teacher is a great honor. The greatest way to master something is to Teach it! A Teacher's Purpose is to Help People Understand that we each have choice in Life. We can choose a positive path over a negative one.

WHAT IS A MYSTERY SCHOOL?

Mystery Schools have been in existence for thousands of years, their origins lost in time.
