BEYOND 3RD DEGREE

THIRD DEGREE & ELDER

At this point, the Initiate has proven that they are mature enough and responsible enough to choose students of their own and they answer directly to the Third Order, as well as God & Goddess. The person at this level has the right to choose whether to stay with the Mother Lodge, hive off and start a Lodge or Mystery School of their own, or hive off and remain solitary.

Even though the Third Degree student is considered autonomous, they do still bear some responsibility to the Mother Lodge. Usually that is to support the growth of the Mother Lodge and the Mystery School as a whole, through new Adept referral. Usually it is 1 Student referred out of every 10 Students trained.

Those Guides who choose to begin their own Lodge will eventually have their own Teachers Program and will be expected to write their own programs, ceremonies, and curriculum for training Initiates.

Eldership

This elevation is in recognition of the progress and teaching ability of the person and will be made by the High Council. Even though Elders may or may not have a Lodge of their own, we believe that Elders still bear some responsibility to the Mystery School, and its members.

Responsibilities of Elders

In addition to the areas of study outlined above, the Initiate at this level also has these responsibilities to meet.

·         Be a living example of appropriate behavior for all coven members and the community as a whole.

·         Occasionally attend the Lodge’s classes, rituals, Initiation Ceremonies, and Teachers Programs.

·         Occasionally volunteer to lead a class for the Mystery School so the Initiates may benefit from your knowledge and wisdom.

·         Be available to members of Mystery School or Lodge for visiting, networking, counseling, or mentoring. Support new 2nd and 3rd Degree Initiates with setting up their Programs and their Lodges or Teaching Centers.

·         Sit on the Council of the Mystery School

·         Attend Council Meetings.

FINANCIAL CONSIDERATIONS

It is our expectation that a 10% tithe will be offered to Headquarters. This must be freely given with gratitude and joy for the manuals, support, trademarks, and copyright releases for manuals and marketing support.

Each Guide has the right to establish pricing on their programs and services based on local economic conditions.

MAITREYA COUNCIL

The leadership of Mystery Schools is established in a checks-and-balances system between the Administration of the School and the Maitreya Council.

The Maitreya Council is an elected council of 12 Guides. These Guides serve for a year and they provide Spiritual leadership for the Schools. Each of the 12 Ray Mystery Schools will elect a Maitreya Council, with one of the leaders an Administrator from the School. One member of the School’s Council will be elected to serve on the Global Maitreya Council of Spiritual Mystery Schools. At this time, the Global Council is under the leadership of Todd and Sandra Stockwell.
